plastic bushings
I had some shock rubbers go bad on the 110 cc atv... got some 1 inch plastic tubing.. can not remember what they call that stuff.... filed it down to about the size and push it into the shock using the vise.... solid now.. just drill the hole and down... this plastic stuff is great... the place I get it from just gives me the smaller pieces for free.. good deal.. I thing otherwise it is $10.00 a foot.. great for swing arm bushing or the bushings on the older gio front end

It looks like UHMW.
Good idea. I never thought of pushing solid rod in and then drilling it to suit.

plastic rods
YES that is the stuff..... great to use it for any bushings.... cheap and last for ever.. keep some on hand... 3/4 and the 1 inch stuff... the 3/4 does the GIO front bushings on the older atvs.. and the swingarm bushings as well.. it will get your back on the road..

What do you think of using a hockey puck. Use a 1" hole saw and then drill centre to required size.
Just a thought. The Canadian in me everything is done with hockey. LMAO

Why not? I've heard of pucks being used as pickup truck body mounts, although they crack over time.
