I need a new fuel pump!

So the fuel pump in my Hawk DLX got crushed by an over zealous installer.
The image below shows the damage done:

The green arrow at the bottom points to where the frame crack extends into the screw hole.
The two top arrows show where the flange wall of the pump are completely broken away.
As a result of the damage, the thing drools like a fat kid sitting in front of an all you can eat hamburger bar. (amazingly enough, I got two days of riding practice with it.)

While I'm working with the seller to get a warranty replacement for this thing, I'd rather be riding. I've been unable to find this fuel pump for sale online - I even checked Alibaba and tried a reverse image search on Google. Nothing. :(

I tried to reach out to RPS via their website and got no reply. I emailed TX Power Sports and they replied, "Sure, we can order that! Send us pictures of what it looks like." I was like, "WTF? You don't know what the fuel pump looks like for a bike you sell? How the hell does THAT work?"

At any rate, I've got a dead bike on my hands with no obvious avenue to get parts. If someone here can point me to a vendor that has these in stock, I would be eternally grateful!

Maybe a stupid question, but did you try super glue?

Not a stupid question at all!

The parts that were broken off the gasket flange are missing. There's nothing to glue back.

TX Powersports leads me to believe they have one for $95. I resisted the temptation to tell them I didn't need five of them.

(I can't imagine the BOM cost for that EFI pump to be more than around $15 and that's primarily due to the complex multi-gate injection molds that it looks like it uses.)

Its a shame you have to fork out the money for one,....or try and reason why it is warranty,...but I understand not wanting a newly purchased bike just sitting, not being able to use it.
Its instances like this, where Peace Sports really looks good/shines....the 2 items I needed warranted on my Brozz, I had them in 3 days (2 separate instances)..after a simple, quick email to Jeff...no drama.

Any chance the Lifan X-Pect pump is similar?

I'm assuming that the damage was caused at the Factory, but TXPowersports ( i smell a Manny ) wants you to pay $95 for it ?Why would that not be a valid Warranty item claim ?

Not jumping on you since i can relate to just paying the $95 so you can ride in lieu of trading kicks to the gonads via the internet with them which in the end you arent likely to win since they have what you need and you have no other source , I am just saying they suck ass for not offering to overnight air you the part at zero cost, which is what anyone with any integrity would do.Which of course leaves Manny about 100 miles out of the equation.

Sure makes the standard hawk look good to me .In the meantime ,try some “seal all “ it might repair the damage I can’t really see in the pictures ,and it can handle gasoline .Let it dry good first after you stick it on .

I used to use seal-all all the time to seal up the fuel pump assembly in my old 2nd gen Ford Escorts... those damned o-ring seals always expanded as soon as you opened that sucker up.

Seal-All is amazing adhesive/sealant.

My other thought was to suggest using plastic epoxy to "rebuild" the parts that re missing, trim or sand to shape once filled in like you would filler putty.

I'm not good enough of a CAD modeler or I'd offer to 3d print a replacement part using ABS.

I didn't buy the bike from TX Power Sports. I bought it off of Amazon. They're currently working through the warranty replacement process and I don't have any reason to think they're going to do me wrong over it. However, my bucket of patience is totally gone.

It got pissed away by Q9 and their constant moving target shipping dates. That cost me 30 days.

I have a re-test coming up on Friday and my cancel/re-order process got the DLX to me just in time. While I only got two days of practice on it, I feel I got enough that I can pass the segments I bombed last time. That being said, I'm not going to sit around and wait for the warranty process to play out while the clock is running. I'd rather spend $95 and be riding in a week than to sit on my hands for god only knows how many weeks, waiting for a new tank (the tank's issues can be solved short-term with some sealant) & pump to arrive.

Now had the thing leaked on day 1, I would have probably gone the sealant/epoxy route while going Full Karen all over the Amazon seller until they overnighted me replacement parts.

When you look at that you see a Hawk fuel pump.

When I look at it I see a red wire, a black wire, an inlet and an outlet.

I do not know how that thing fits in the tank or on the bike but I bet I could use that gasket and make a plate that would not leak and install a replacement.

Krat....needs to be a high pressure pump for the fuel injection....probably in the 40 to 55? psi range.

If you havent, please watch Motocheeze ' Video on the Hawk DLX - while overall he loved the Bike, oddly enough he also had fuel tank problems , his started leaking through the screw holes in the petcock area and he had to fab up some fiber washers to correct that issue.

I mention that because i'd sure hate for you to get this fuel pump issue sorted out only to have it start leaking unnoticed from the petcock base like his did and ....well, catch your finally fuel pumped DLX on fiyah. It would be worth it to be aware of it , I didnt watch your Video so maybe you checked for that already but just thought i'd mention it.
