Fast Doc hits the mountains!

Roger is still out of commission with his knee but I NEEDED to ride so I went to the nearby Blue Mountains for a fix of woods riding:-)

It was cold up high, upper 40's I'd estimate (GW....) but no wind, very nice.

The KLX has been and remains an excellent bike.

The views are nice as always. I think it's bear hunting season. I saw about 4 people hunting in 112 miles, and no bears;-)

Stopping for lunch.

I missed Roger.

At about 5,500 feet the snow got too thick and I turned back.

The KLX does OK in powdery snow, but this thick heavy compacted old snow is hard to ride in.

Hard to tell but I'm smiling:-)

Thanks for posting the nice photos from the Blue Mountains, Doc. I hope Roger is feeling better. Please give him my best regards.

The KLX250S is a great motorcycle. I've been riding my Zong a lot this spring. However, I'm going to start putting some miles on my CRF250X this coming week.

Doc, I hate to sound like a mother-in-law, but "I saw about 4 people hunting in 112 miles" and riding alone doesn't seem like a good combination. Sh^t happens to all of some at some point :P

Very good point my friend. Believe me, that weighed heavily on my mind. Unlike are well known brother from Idaho, I am very nervous going far off road all by myself. To keep things a little bit safer, I stuck mainly to the more travel trails and fireroad's. Even so, I was praying hard and was a little bit nervous. I try to not do this stuff without Roger, but like I said, I had to go!

The more you ride the CRF, the more you'll like it! You are very fortunate to have a selection of wonderful motorcycles to choose from.
