I'm Back !!!

Hello all!
Its been a few years since I have posted although I have been lurking from time to time.
I have been into the scooter thing for about five years. Last week I was visiting some of my old websites just to see what dual sports were available and how much $$$.
Well, that was all she wrote...
I spent several hours reading about 1,0000,00000,000,000 posts in this forum trying to get up to speed on the latest and greatest for the $$.
One week later my scooter is sold and my new TMEC-200 will be here next week.
I'm sure glad I kept my motorcycle jack, I always knew I would need it again.
I'm sure glad to see nothings changed with this forum. Still a place for great info and great people.
And good to see a few old timers still giving great advise and knowledgeable info !

Congrats! and welcome back...where did you get the TMEC from? Excalibur is great at parts and all that other stuff, no matter where you bought it. Mine is up to 2700 miles, and counting daily. The only mod, besides the ones mmprestine did to his bike on his thread, you might want to do is a rear sprocket (the counter-sprocket is already a 17). I ordered mine from http://www.urbanbike.co.uk/jtr113448...ket-1655-p.asp who seemed to be the only bike parts retailer in all of Europe (I emailed a few) who had no problem taking an order and shipping from the UK. With shipping and converting from pounds, it was around $45 several months ago. Why TMEC could not use far more common Honda-clone wheels to simplify the sprocket buying process, I don't know!? And why JT Sprockets only makes them down to a 48 tooth (maybe they are OEM for the bikes these are listed for) as opposed to a 44?

Are you assembling it, or is it coming built?

Welcome back. Congratulations on acquiring your new TMEC 200. If you have time, please do post some photos of your new bike.

Thanks for welcomes fellers !!
Spud, I will definitely post some pic's as I go. Been a while since I got my hands on a Chinese steel crated cage.

culcune, A rear sprocket will definitely be in order. I will be doing the assembly myself ,which I kind of prefer. I'm sure I got a gallon or two of Loctite around here some where.
My one concern is, I put on about 50lbs in my old age, and wondering if that 200cc will hull my fat but until I hit the gym and put my fork down a little sooner? 250 lbs... for you wondering minds lol.

Tvnacman, for sure. I don't know for now what decals if any, I will put on.

Welcome back! A 200 will certainly haul 250lbs around; I've ridden two-up on mine, and certainly exceeded the 400lb mark in total.

Looking forward to assembly pics.

I agree with Weld. A 200cc Chinabike will easily haul you around.
