I Haven't Been Kind To My Hawk....
....but it starts and runs just like new!
I have to admit, this winter has been a neglectful time to the hawk. I started it once in probably January, but otherwise, it's set all winter and spring. even though the battery was on a tender, it was shot. but I turned on the fuel, flipped on the choke, held the throttle at about half, and on the forth kick, she sprung right to life. settled into an idle pretty quickly (it's VERY warm here!) and off we went for a short ride around the area. you sure can't complain about the durability of these things when being treated bad! |

The CG engines were originally designed to be so durable because they were intended for markets where regular maintenance wasn't really a "thing." Their entire design premise was simple, durable, and easy to fix.

The Hawk is like a rescue dog from the pound. It doesn't matter how bad it was treated before it will always be loyal.

I know, I am real happy with mine. Rinsed it off and oiled the chain Sunday and rode it today. Ran like a champ.
