Section riding the MABDR

I will start section riding the MABDR in 2 or 3 day rides a month starting in April. Riding and camping mixed with the odd fly fishing stop. Bikes will be in back of my truck or on my trailer or both depending on members to the start point of the section. You are all welcome to join me. A GS 1200 isn't the only Adventure bike. China Riders Ride.

Started setting up the bike for the MABDR next month if all goes well. Added a rear trunk, soft saddle bags, padded seat cover, tank bag, front fender bag, and LED lights.

Still thinking about tires, most of my riding is done on the street. I am thinking about getting a set of 250 Ninja wheels and mounting 80/20s on them and keeping the stock rims and tires for dirt days.

I spent:
$19.98 for the seat pad (Amazon)
$18.40 for the tank bag (Amazon)
$16.95 for the fender bag (Amazon)
$27.00 + $5.00 shipping for the saddle bags (Ebay)

$87.33 for luggage.

Took the Hawk for a run to the grocery just because I could. My main ride is a Concours so I am use to having storage space. The Hawk did great!

I’m considering taking the Hawk instead of my bigger bike to MBDR. How did your bike do?
