BMS CRP 250 rear wheel issues!!!! Help
Had a small mishap with my rear wheel. I bought an Excel rim to replace this junk china hoop, but I'm having a hard time finding spoke info. Has anyone with a CRP250 had to replace any spokes?

Possibly TT250 or Hawk. The CRP is a Bashan, but uses the 21/18 setup rather than the 19/17 of the Brozz, Storm, etc.

That looks like a finely tuned machine you got there ! .Whats going on with the chain ,are the links seized or what am I missing ? It doesn’t look like the adjusters have been touched in the picture ,yet there is a big gap between the links and the top side of the sprocket ?

Correct it is 21/18. The TT250 has a different hub. It does look like the same hub as the Hawk. Just has the disc vs the drum.. I did buy a set of spokes that Motocheez.com recommended for the Hawk250, but they shipped today, and will come anywhere from July 1-24.... if I could find something sooner that would be SICK. Plus I dont even know if those will work. Im missing out on riding time! I need to get a train photo for the picture game

Retail here the wheel is maybe $25...,
All those cheap bike look to be more then the reality.. Spokes are a mare to get and in the past I’ve had a wheel guy always just fix mine. Too messy But I don’t live in the USA which in my opinion is a stupid move on my part. |

I've replaced about 15 spokes on my rear wheel over the last few years. I've been keeping my spokes on the tighter side lately, about 5 foot pounds, and I check them every few rides. That seems to help. I also think the replacement spokes are stronger than the originals. Haven't had any problems with the rim.

All my local bike shops are so terrible. Customer service doesn't exist anymore. They hang up on me, ignore me, talk down to me... like come on, I'm trying to give you my money!! I ask if I can come in to check if they have a similar spoke to mine, and they seem okay... but they try to pry a make and model out of me.. if i let it slip that its chinese, I basically get hung up on. Its a spoke!! Come on! I don't understand why they have to be mean when I'm trying to spend money
Are there any wheels that are interchangeable?? Anyone throw a different back wheel on a hawk? Last edited by 420chonda; 06-22-2020 at 10:04 PM. |

These work on the Hawk but will be on the slow boat from china. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32281989453.html
If you measure what you have then you can get exactly what you need. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3284...20b22e0eo6GJ2I

No way. My last dirt bike was a 1979 Honda XL185! Wish I kept the rear wheel! I'm gonna need to call a honda dealer or Buchanan's. I already emailed them but ill call if I don't hear anything tomorrow

Well, for anyone interested, I just ordered these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/352249638121
I put my spokes up to a tape measure (I measured spokes from each side of the hub, just in case) and got 6 9/16," which is about 166mm. 165mm spokes were a lot easier to find. Hopefully 165 works, and I dont need to go get 170s.. I guess I was just bugging out because of the bend (J?) in the spokes, thought it was a huge deal.. we'll see So, I have the set I ordered from Motocheez.com's Hawk250 parts list, AND this new set coming. Hopefully something works!! The Excel rim I ordered will be here tomorrow. The tube showed up today. The Kenda shows up Saturday. Its like Christmas time all over again! If Buchanan gets back to me, I'll most likely still send them some spokes to copy. That is definitely still the best route |
