Tao Tao boulder 110 shock upgrade
I have been looking high and low for shocks for my kids quads and no one seems to know of any. I recently found that the db10 pitbike has a oil filled shock.
Has anyone tried it on the 4 wheeler? I put some 1/4 midgetsdhocks on the back and they work awesome but they cost $200 apiece and I don’t want to spend that kind of money on that. |

I tried a few things. I searched eBay endlessly, I thought about relocating the shock mounting points (so as to allow for a longer shock without increasing seat height) and I even removed the springs and put them in my 12 ton press. After giving them a little pressure, I tried heating them with a torch to soften them. That resulted in some really smelly paint burning off and somewhat softer springs. In the end, the kids outgrew the quad and I sold it.
