Lifan 200cc Clutch Lever Question
Hello again all, I'm almost finished with my swap. I'm trying to get the clutch cable system in place and working. I'm trying to figure out how much play the clutch lever should have. Below is a video detailing what I mean. Thanks!

I would suggest starting with it all the way forward from that loose freeplay position. You will likely have to adjust it a bit more once you have the bike in a running condition, but that will get you fairly close. I followed the TT250 method of getting mine set after removing the cable to lube and route it. A bit beyond halfway on this page.

About an eighth of an inch. Just enough so that you don't pre-load the throw out bearing. After you set it, check it again after a long enough ride to get the engine to normal temperature. If it tightened up any, reset it. If it loosened up a little, leave it alone...ARH

So, the cable is just a little bit too long (so now I get to wait another week for a shorter one to show up). However, I was able to fully engage the clutch lever. Now I know how the mechanism is supposed to work. Thanks for the help.
