How can oil cooler work if there is no oil pump?

I always thought a pump was necessary to move fluid into a radiator or cooler. So I always wondered how an oil cooler on a CG250 works. Aren’t these engines lubricated with a splash system?

They have an oil pump. They do also rely on splash oiling. Think of it like a hybrid system. Call it a spray and splash.

Nice to know there is a pump in there too! I’m going to take my chances and not put in an oil cooler. I may hit an occasional red light on a really hot day but I don’t commute or ride in slow traffic. Plus I’m a maniac about changing my oil. I’m hoping fresh oil will keep me cool enough on the hot days. Fingers crossed!! Thanks for the help!!

The cooler definitely has benefits, but it isn't a super critical upgrade either.
