Hawk 2 / anyone have one?

After the major cluster f with the first hawk I bought and the failed attempt to find a brozz, or storm I'm now waiting for a hawk 2 to be delivered. I know what you're thinking... why the hell would you buy another hawk after that last fiasco? ( which is still going one btw) Welllll... from what Ive been told the new hawk (2) is 50 state street legal since roteka now makes them. I checked with New Jersey DMV and roteka is on the approved list, so that's a good thing. I hope they used a different carburetor on this model because that other carb is a POS As for the engine, I'm not sure if it's the same motor or not. The engine on my hawk (1) runs great other than the idle pulsation due to the POS carb. I wanted inverted forks, but the hawk 2 doesn't have them which really isn't a big deal. The hawk 2 comes with remote start and alarm which cracks me up

Anyway... if you have a hawk 2 let me know how you like it. I'll post my impression of the bike once I receive it. I'm praying there's no shipping damage since they're using R & L carriers. I just don't feel like dealing with the BS anymore. I think I've been on the phone and typed more emails in past month than I have all of last year

I'm curious where you confirmed the manufacturer info from....some of remember the promises and "assurances" of dealers/manufacturers in years gone by of things just like this.....if its true it'll be good news for folks in Alabama and other State's as well.

Haha

Ski_rush, aren't bashan and roteka two different companies? ...maybe, Maybe not?

If you look at these bikes (enduros) they are all identical for the most part. The engines, frames, gas tanks, gauge clusters etc. across the Chinese enduro genre the only things that differentiates a few of bikes are the balance engines, rear rack, inverted front forks, rim size, head light and decals.

The Chinese are notorious for stealing other companies designs and calling them their own.

Oh by the way, my bike will say hawk 2 on it somewhere? Does yours?

The first thing I'll do is take those decals off, then people will be going "is that an enforcer?" Kind of like when people ask a guy driving a porche "is that a volks wagon?

Lol... just busting you
