Bike has new odometer sensor and fresh insurance!

I've been building my channel, getting better cameras, learning to use them, working a bunch of events and wanting to get the bike up and ready for a new season. Today I got the part installed after chasing down a problem with my odometer.

I've got a few things in my head so maybe I'll get some more bike Vidz up soon. Today I finally got to go for a short ride with the wife so I'm really wanting to get back in the saddle. sure is good to back at it and hello to all my friends!

Welcome back Paul. I've been watching a few if your knives videos. Time for a few bike videos before it gets too hot.

Woot Woot welcome back! So you gave up on the Sambo, I reckon the 80 dollars they’re charging isn’t worth it.

Watched some of Paul's videos, some of the comments are disgusting. Thanks for your input and taking time to share!

I didn't give up on the Sambo but I had the sensor go out and it took a while to get some time and good weather to trouble shoot it. Of course it took extremely long to get the part in, I think they sent it with a fisherman in a paddle boat from China to deliver it. Works great now and I took it for a second spin tonight...I really like this little bike!

Without getting to far into politics all I will say is many families including mine have given their sons and daughters for this nation, I too have served. I feel I should be able to freely express my proud support for this country and President, I will not be silenced by someone who feels if the create enough noise they can squelch my voice. You can oppose my belief and we can be friends but you can't silence me.

I really didn't want to reply to that but c'est la vie.

Good to hear from you Jerry, Chiptoothy and wedooit!

I understand duck9191, That's why i haven't been riding.

Hey Dan how have been brother? I seen your last vid or two. I have a weird job at Coke where I do local event's so I get busy at the start of spring and work every holiday. so between that and my other hobbies with the bike not ready to ride I had to fall off for a bit.

I just got home from a short ride to get gas and my throttle cable broke about two miles from the house with my wife on the back, The cable pulled out of the lead end in the housing at the grip. I just took the cable out of the housing and pinched it between the handle bars and a Gopro mount and just pulled the cable till I got home....new throttle cable order so I get to wait again

Hope your luck is better than mine!

It is good to see you popping back in. Don't it suck when work gets in the way of a totally sensible desire to just ride! Glad the cable snafu wasn't worse.

I have something like it here in the USA n I connected it to a magician - what a drama it seems to adjust etc and atm I’ve left it cause we are doing other things.
Seems there might be a few firmware versions and info on the process to adj the settings just looks to be not logical and or info or instructions seem to lack details.

I did some checking on hawk and TBR7 bikes here in the USA and I now have the knowledge of the pin outs n simple ways to look at producing a set that easily covers these bikes and ability to tweak it for others easily.

Thanks dpl096, I was glad it broke at the throttle. I figured I could get it home somehow, I just thought W.W.M.D "what would MacGyver do!".

Been fine. the crazy stuff at work has calmed down for now. Sure to start again soon.

I had my cable break in the exact same place as yours. I now have a couple of backups just in case...

With Dan's failing at the same spot it makes you wonder if its a product defect on the cable supplier end. Couple more folks have this happen and Dan will be adding that cable to the uncrating/set-up/replacement check list.
