Help identify engine for big bore kit
Hi, I have a mini chopper that has 50cc engine that is just a little too weak for me. I was hoping to get a big bore kit but am unsure of which one to get as I can’t figure out what my engine really is. The model stamped on it is “HS1P39FMB” with 49cm3 cast into the head. It is a 4 speed semi automatic. I am very new to this type of engine. Thank you for any help! Or if any other performance suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

49cm3 means 49 cubic centimeters in displacement, basically a 50cc engine.
Doing some lookup on that engine code you gave, looks like a typical OHC horizontal pit bike motor. Chinese copy of a Honda. The 1p39fmb = 49cc. They make that engine up to 110cc.. 49cc 1P39FMB 49CM3 39 X 41.4 MM 70CC 1P47FMD 72CM3 47 X 41.4 MM 90CC 1P47FMF 86CM3 47 X 49.5MM 100CC 1P50FMG 97CM3 50 X 49.5MM 110CC 1P52FMH 107CM3 52.4 X 49.5MM 49cc= 3.0hp 70cc= 5.5 hp 90cc = 6.0 hp 100cc = 6.5 hp 110cc = 7.0hp That's about all I could find without too much time spent. Basically, it's a Chinese copy of a Honda pitbike engine. Looks a lot like the engine family that is in my kids New Cheetah from Tao Motors. His is branded as a 110, but the engine is actually a 120cc. Great power for it's size in that one. I just ordered a 26mm carb for it. Depending on how much your BBK is, a complete 110-120cc version of that engine may only cost you $200-$300 brand new. |
