TBR7 matching Clutch assembly

Hey everyone, I know there are workarounds like replacing the plates or what have you but I would like to simply replace my tbr7 clutch assembly with a new one yet tao tao has sold out of the part.

I have been trying to do research emailing/calling dealerships, bing aichat, etc with no luck , I ordered a wrong clutch already (130mm was too big) and would like to order one that definitely fits.

Can anybody say with complete certainty if the hawk 250 or tt250 clutch assembly's match the tbr7 (or any other compatible clutch assembly but please don't just post a link of a 130mm random atv clutch from amazon/aliexpress that " might fit ").

I like tinkering/trial and error but right now just looking for the matching part to get back riding. Thanks!

Can you post photos of the clutch basket with measurements and any other comments and observations that might be useful? It might help. There are other dirt bikes, road bikes, quads that use the 167FM- engine. Any of them might use the identical part, and there may be inventory for that model somewhere. I don't know of any cross reference charts.

Short of removing your clutch to verify gear siE and tooth count, basket dimensions, and fiber and steel plate specs? I know the TT250 clutch stuff works on the Hawk. I also know generic clutch assemblies also work on the Hawk and TT250. Nobody ever posts much about technical stuff foe the tbr7 here because they all went to a tbr7 specific forum. That may be your best place for an answer

I see lots of potential 6 or 7 plate matches in a quick google search, between $22-$70. Many include dimensions. What are the dimensions/specs of the clutch basket in your engine ? No matter where you get your link/advice, you need to verify what you can

I opened up my clutch to install the last assembly I purchased which didn't fit (too big 130mm) and I'm not going to go through that again until I have the new clutch assembly ready to install, just too much of a process.
So I cannot say the measurements (def smaller than 130mm), all I have is this information from tao tao:
"CG250 type, 70 teeth, 6 columns and 7 pieces, thickened gear"

Can't wait to get my hands on the cross reference charts, currently webscraping the internet for the master network!

Any tbr7 forums you recommend thanks.

Everything I have read, including blogs and threads from 2 sources, both bought the same basic type of clutch the Hawk uses.

Sounds to me like you have to do some work. Sucks, but that's your option unless somebody can provide an answer, which as far as I have seen, can't.

So your 2 options are. 1, wait for the part to come back in stock. 2, take your bike apart to measure what you need to measure. Since it has to.come apart again to replace it, I fail to see why this hasn't already been done?

Option 3: Take it to a shop. This guy just doesn't want to be bothered.

I was hoping to get some information to save me the effort of opening it 3 times. (leaving it open waiting for the new part is not a good idea)

I'm going to double check if the hawk 250 clutch definitely matches, I think it does but not sure.

That's why you take it apart. Get your specs. Organize your parts during disassembly into baggies or other such container. Bolt the.cover back on lightly until parts arrive.

I've worked on a lot of bikes in my life that had to sit while I waited for parts, so have many others.

I might end up doing that. Thanks

I have a part site saying that the hawk 250 clutch matches the tbr7 and I think you or someone mentioned CSC tt250 clutch matching the hawk 250 so I guess they all share the same clutch assembly?
Currently hiring web scrapers to find the Master Network and end the confusion once and for all.
