Engine rattling after short run on highway

My XF250 is now rattling after a short run on the freeway. I had it at about 65. It lost power for a second on the freeway then got it's power back suddenly. I rode it home, still seemed to have good power. It still shuts off and starts fine but now has a noticeable rattle coming from the engine. It sounds like it is in the upper end. What does it sound like to you guys?

Guessing valves. Lost power then got it back = exhaust valve overheated, cooled down, and started working properly again. But just a guess. Pull the valve covers and see what's in there, after putting the motor at the proper TDC.
