Any advise on registering in the Portland area? looking to order and if it's not possibly anymore then I will change my plans.

Thanks!

I highly recommend calling the nice people at the main DMV in Salem. They will tell you exactly what is needed to register the bike.

Good advice to call DMV. I can't recall for sure if I have seen a hawk in Oregon that was street legal. I recall seeing a used Hawk on CL but the guy never contacted me with any info.
I went the safe route and spent the extra $1100 on a CSC tt250. I got the end of year deal $2,400. DMV was no problem other than I had to go on line and pay the new vehicle tax they just implemented a while back.

I had to pay the new vehicle sales tax on the car I bought last year, 1/2 of 1 percent as I recall. When I first registered my Lifan 12 years ago the Oregon DMV required a MCO and an EPA certificate. I believe it was later determined that American Lifan forged the EPA certificates but the DMV allowed the registration to stand.

I like the tt250 but the seat height is lower. IT's about $2800 after all fees but it might be the way to go..

That is sneaky they added a quote free warranty charge of $275 parts and labor. That was not there when I ordered mine.

I called q9 to get a vin and they said they can only give me 6 digits. The dmv needs the vin to determine if it is listed as dirt bike. So I guess I’ll try another company
