TT250 Sprockets

Well heck, I was going to pull the trigger on a JTR269.47 this morning so I'd have it here for the big tear down. The 269 been the go-to sprocket for my X-Moto and other CB Hondoids over the years.

I got a wild hair this morning before work about 4:00am and decided to go out to the garage and take a look, just to be sure. I wanted to make sure the bolts were 90mm apart, etc.... Well, curveball.

As you can see on my X-Moto, it's the 269 type sprocket. Correct bolt pattern and a flat sprocket, as is in the attached schematic.

The TT250 rear sprocket however, much to my surprise has an offset to it. I didn't get a chance this morning to lay a straight edge on it and measure the offset but does anyone have an idea of what sprocket this may be? It still has the four (4), 90mm mounting holes and everything would be just like the 269, except for the offset.

If someone has a chance, lay a straight edge on the sprocket and see what the offset measures out at. It's going to be a long day in the cube..... :-(

The offset from the stock sprocket of my bike is 3 mm (as I see it, see pic)

The replacement sprocket I installed is JTR269.43 .

Thanks for checking BB. Yep...that's a 269, like what would fit my X-moto. The TT sprocket has a noticeable cup to it. Kinda hard to see in my pic but you can see how it rolls up from the mounting bolts.

Maybe the Hawk has the same cupped offset?

Drat...unless my eyes deceive me, according to hertz9753 pic I stole for here, the Hawk also looks like a flat 269-type sprocket also. Must keep searching. I'll check with JT directly also but I've stuck out twice with them on two other sprocket applications.

Either the TT swingarm must be a bit wider than the Hawk or the countershaft sprocket sticks out further on the TT.

I doubt that it's an issue over 3mm. There is that much play in the CS sprocket.

Hopefully not but I'll get a measure on it tonight. It looks more like possible 5-8. It's noticeable when looking at it (at least at 4:00am), more than the pic. I'm hoping I'm wrong and can just order the 269.
I checked with CSC and they don't stock anything yet nor know the JT number. Email into JT but I'm not holding my breath.

it looks like the TT250 used bolts and the hawk/jt uses those studs.
its possible that the offset on the Offset dish is on the TT sprocket because it is not using the same bushing cushioned hub as the hawk.

need to take measurements. but the bolts vs studs is a glaring difference. wonder what kind of cushion hub the TT is using.

Ok...I measured the offset last night and it was about 5mm+. Not too bad. I eyeballed it and the 269 won't drag the chain too close to the tire. The chain guard mounting tabs will probably take some "reformatting". Other than that, it looks like a go.

I'm going to order the 269 and give it a whirl..........

Speaking of which, I got an email from Richard at JT Sprockets this morning. He wants all my measurements when I take it off. I offered to send him the stock sprocket to check out if he needs it...but I'd eventually like it back. It would be cool if they had an exact match or could make something.

Got another email. They want the sprocket for exact measurements. I'll be tearing down next week so I'll mail it then. Hopefully they can hook us all up with a bunch of different choices!....or already have something available.

When I picked up my TT the CSC guy said they'd have sprockets in soon, should be there by now if the timing kept to what he told me. Another option would be a spacer to mount whatever sprocket you want to use.
