Sad to see Hooper Imports is no more

http://www.hooperimports.com/

Scroll down and he mentions they went out of business on December 31, although parts are still available. I doubt American Lifan will get as detailed as Hooper was as far as specialty parts go (i.e. repowering old name brand bikes by putting Lifan engines into them). I know that their primary business will be to push their new lineup and sell replacement parts, but if they jump into Hooper's old market, they could be much bigger...much, much bigger!

I had problems with Hooper a few years ago. I won't go into detail, but I understand why they're going OOB.

I wasn't aware, or maybe you mentioned it a while back in a thread? I never dealt with him, but I got nostalgic as Hooper has been around at least as long as Chinariders. They used to sell bikes via mail-order back then.

I don't think I ever posted about it, but it's why I still haven't bought a new in the box China bike. I'm starting to loose my worries after talking to a few people like Adam and Don. My story is one of many that place an order and three months later, no product. Only difference is in the details in the correspondence with Hooper.
