Linhai Aeolus / K&N air-filter

I felt guilty about the stock air-filter and riding the dusty lime-rock grade into my property. Decided on a K&N RU-1280 replacement, 1-7/8" ID x 3" dia. x 4" length x 10 degree offset. Cut a 2-1/4" length of 1-1/2" PVC pipe for an adapter to connect filter to intake. (OD of PVC pipe is 1-7/8"... same as intake and filter.)

Stock Linhai foam air-filter.

Stock Linhai air-box.

K&N RU-1280 air-filter installed... adapter inserted about 3/4" into filter and 1-1/2" into air intake.

Other than installing the K&N filter, no changes were made to stock air-box. No changes to jetting or carb adjustment (idle, air-mix) needed. Scooter runs and sounds like stock... change was made for better air filtration.

I purchased the K&N RU-1280 online from AJ-USA, INC. $29.27 delivered to my home. I spent more time taking pics than installing air-filter, install was quick and easy.
