On some bikes the stator doesn't provide constant voltage which may cause the headlights to flicker.
You can avoid this by either leaving the dead battery connected, or replace it with a capacitor. Like one of those 0.5Farad caps sold for car audio systems. I personally wouldn't rely on the starter, as some bikes had their starter chain destroyed due to it not being oiled or greased from the factory. |
