Damn, my frame also looks "faded" like that but I think I messed it up when I tried to wash with some degreaser for ovens
Now, I just "polish" it after every wash by wiping it with the greasiest rag I can find in the garage. Once wiped with a thin coat of oil (plus whatever else happens to be on the rag), it's all good until the next wash.
