Just what I'd expect from a Texan. I was born in the Hill Country west of San Marcos. Any real Texan or adequately experienced psuedo Texan understands.
Most people don't know this, but there are two parts of Texas: Rattlers and Copperheads in the western part, Rattlers, Copperheads, Cottonmouths, and Corals in the eastern part. Real Texans know where not to get bitten.
