If that B&S filter will fit..

Replaces Briggs & Stratton Service Part #491588S
For 3.5 through 6.75 Horsepower Quantum Engines and 625 through 1575 Series Engines

According to the K&N cross reference chart here;

This one should fit, and is a lifetime type filter that does not require oiling.

Has anyone tried the B&S replacement? can you describe the fitment?

I'd buy one of the K&N and give it a shot if someone can vouch for the fitment.
