It doesn't really matter to the tie rod end if the nut is on top, since it doesn't really bear weight, only lateral steering force. A ball joint is another matter.
I will play with it sometime soon. My wife and I work different shifts so that's how I am able to go mess with my toys (Christmas presents) without her knowing or complaining lol
