I have not read that book but I love it's theme.

I read an analagous book a year ago about the friendship between an American Vietnam F4 pilot and the pilot of the Russian Mig he shot down back in the 60's.

They are now tightly bonded friends with a deep mutual respect and admiration and do a talking tour together.

I feel that this is a tiny representation of what Heaven will be like. Warriors will be brothers as originally intended. The lion and lamb will lie down together. All tears will be erased.

Another book, along parallel lines worth reading is The Christmas Truce. Its about a truce/friendship between the British and Germans across No Man's Land in WW I.

Nowadays all I have time to read is medicine and the Bible.

Some Chinariders too ;-)
