That carb will work with your stock setup, but if you start modifying (performance exhaust, etc.), you'll want a Mikuni so you can actually find replacement jets. Expect to pay less than $40 delivered for a Mikuni.

Is there something in particular from what you've seen that makes you think it's a Honda clone? Or is that simply something the Chinese bikes are known for?
The bike sounds good and runs really well as is, but I'm sure I'll want more power as I get more comfortable with riding. I'll definitely look into a Mikuni when the time comes, especially if they're really that cheap!
