Yes, that's true. BUT, at least on Chinese made CDI's, there is a very limited CDI advance range, which is why they start at 14 'o' advance in order to get to a ho-hum 34 'o' advance at speed. 'o' " = degrees here because I don't have the little degree symbol on my keyboard...ARH
