I was looking at getting a Hooligun R (supermoto version) but I am kind of leaning toward the SSR SR450S (pretty much the same bike) The advantage of the Hooligun is that it has all of the road gear on it and a speedo, and I would bet it may be easier to register, but the SSR has a tail light and plate setup, and living where I do, they would plate it without blinking an eye. But I can get the SR450 for 1500 less and spend the difference on a Koso gauge setup, some handlebar switches, and turn signals (and probably still have $1000 left over lol)
I have seriously been considering giving up my hawk and goldwing to get one. I love riding my Hawk, but I love the power of my Goldie. I think a mid 40+hp, sub 300lb Enduro would satisfy both ends.
I will say this, the FXR does interest me, and at one time I considered one to do some sort of bigger engine setup on - Pirahna or Anima. I love minimalist bikes like that. I personally think it would be a great on and off road bike with just a bit more power - like Hawk level, 14-15hp.
