My lever has similar symptoms only engaging in the last 25% of releasing lever.
Think I'll need a clutch cover gasket or should it come apart ok ?

My Zongshen ZS200GY-2 has the same Yamaha engine block as your TT-R225 and the TW200. My Zong and the TW200 both have the clutch adjustment screw on the clutch cover.
