Had the engine out on my CX500 Custom once, did it myself as well and I recall it being a little awkward to set down once I got it out... Lol, I didn't have much in the way of tools or jacks back then though, and I did it in a parking lot. I sold my old GL1200 this spring dirt cheap, kind of regretting it now, it sure was a nice highway bike!
