If you have the finances to buy a $5k Honda, then I would definitely do so. I would have, if I had $5k to spend on a bike. But, I didn't. I wanted to spend as little as possible because I won't be using it a ton, and I have 2 kids and a wife to spoil.
I'd buy a Honda if you can swing it.
