My old TMEC 200--I bought it used with unknown mileage--put 10k or so miles commuting. Bought a new TMEC 200 (the one I own). Started commuting on it. After a few hundred miles, same problem as yours; someone happened to post about his bike acting the same, and he fixed it with a new CDi. My bike was stranded at work; I took out my old CDi from my old bike, threw it in, and she started right up. I think it has to do with quality control, rather than unusual problems as that bike gave me another 10k miles.
