Kudos to Mudflap regarding the high buck NAPA filter I used for the conversion. I couldn't make it leak but I walked into the garage for the first time in a week and thought someone moved the Maggot to where a Hardly had been parked. A good sized puddle of Rotella T was directly beneath the filter. I cleaned it up, wiped down the engine, and put a white rag beneath the engine to double check. Then ran errands in the Jeep.

Sure enough, the oil was still leaking. So, I pulled the NAPA filter and compared the distance from the face of the gasket to the face of the threaded hole on both the NAPA and a Fram PH9100(Both interchangeable). The measured distance on the NAPA was .119". The Fram measured .235". I got .122" when I measured the seat to bung distance on the engine. No way will the NAPA filter ever seal.

Live and learn.
