I'm thinking along the lines of the other 2 folks, did you ever check the valves yet or maybe you did what everyone here has done at least once before... set the valves on the wrong stroke/T line?
It makes a really loud "Tappy Tappy Tappy" sound when you do the valves on the wrong T-line
