I purchased a 2006 Zongshen Sierra motorcycle about 2 months ago or so. One of the first questions I asked, if you can recall, was what the "1000Â³" stood for on the engine case. After a couple of quick responses, I was informed that it was the oil yield for my particular engine.

I have recently noticed something interesting. A friend of mine has recently purchased a 2006 Zongshen Sierra motorcycle, as well. It is being stored at my house as I fix a few of the things that are wrong with it, as it was purchased used locally. Anyway, the point of the story, I was changing the oil in it a couple of days ago and realized his engine case was stamped "1300Â³". 8O

How can two otherwise virtually identical motorcycles have such an oil capacity difference? I also ask fellow Zong owners to check your bikes and see if you have any other number stamped on your case.
