I ran the engine for about 30 minutes total today, and drained the oil. Didn't see any metal, or anything unexpected. I plan to run plain 10w 40 Valvoline for the first 500 miles, then switch over to Mobil 1 full synthetic. Basically the same thing I do with every engine I own.
The ale is Budweiser American Ale... One of my favorites. I give it an A-, not as good as the old Michelob Dark, but pretty darn good.
