Eric, now that you mention plastic, the filter in the gas line is a white, semi-translucent plastic and a little of the "blue" is seeping out of it, too.

The carb on the Trailrider is all metal, but there could be a sensitive O-ring inside the cut-off -- I don't know . . .

As stated, the problem is very minor at present, and if it doesn't get worse, all it will take is a 10 second wipe with a cloth every few days to remove the "blue" stain, and I guess I could learn to live with that, but it is just one of those things that "shouldn't happen" and it bothers me a little, especially on a bike with considerably less than 100 miles on it . . .

Could be that the av gas was too large a leap -- maybe standard unleaded regular without the ethanol added would do the trick.
