I chopped out the crude intake box and fixed the despicable wiring job by whoever did the assembly. The first thing that I experienced after bypassing the emissions recovery system was an unbelievable(about 3x) increase in fuel consumption with no obvious power increase, so that's getting tackled starting tomorrow along with another glass pack fireball muffler install. The intake mod had me thinking about a snorkel, but I think the steps to prevent water from getting in involves a new carb and a few other mods. Along with the electrical, I modified my battery to threaded posts with wing-nuts. I have a tiny bluetooth stereo with remote for it and will also build a 2nd battery out of 18650's with a regulator on it. I also have lots of other custom mods and parts hand fabricated I will post soon that might inspire others.
