I just did a magnet test on my handlebars. I originally assumed they were steel, but I am not getting any magnetic pull so its not very ferrous metal. So jc3 if you want to try drilling it might end up being an extremely thick chunk of aluminum in which case that may be the way to go for installing handguards on Templars.
