You can start the easy half way by just opening the intake and exhaust entry/exit ports. Otherwise to do the full monty you'll need to remove the valves to work the transitions just past the valve seats and behind the stems.
the intake really doesn't need much done to it, it's the exhaust that's the problem. I removed the big lump that extends past the valve stem and into the down stream exhaust port
