Those are good tools. As long as the T-handle is, you would have to remove the gas tank I think. I can get by fine by just lifting up the rear of the tank on my X-pect with a piece of wood, and using a small open wrench or adjustable wrench on the square post.

I like to set my gap a little wide with the feeler gauge, then if/when it gets smaller when I make the adjustment, it will be where it needs to be. Or I might turn the square post a few degrees CCW to make up for it going CW when I tighten the lock nut.
