Get some fresh oil in there if you haven't already, and bed If you need any tutorials maintenance, there is a series of tutorials for the tu250x. It should run a bit lean from the factory, so adjusting the idle mixture and removing the air injection pump will help.
Check the brake rotors for contamination and clean them up before bedding. Mine came with a greasy front brake rotors and they always sucked until I replaced them and did this....

Will factory Suzuki filters fit or do I need the actual filters for this bike? Also what kind of oil? I'm reading 10W-40 motorcycle oil but any brands that are recommended?
I'll do the bedding procedure once I'm able to get the bike on the road.
Also where is the idle mixture screw? I can't see it on the carb. I'm guessing it is hidden and I need to drill a plug to get to it?
