Keep in mind, it doesn't rob power and if you're keeping your stock exhaust with cat, you may want to leave it functioning. It'll keep your cat clean.
If you're going to an aftermarket muffler and no cat, disable the air injection or it will cook your muffler packing.

Performed a cat-a-tectomy on the stock pipe. Now I have popping on decel, with occasional backfires, and JerryHawk250 suggested removing this to help with that.
