Here's a stupid idea, but I work with those weight plates. The heavier ones are 20 lbs. They are rectangular and measure 1 inch in thickness. Anyway, since this is a temporary issue (because they grow like weeds) do you think you could somehow weight the suspension. After all, it's just going to be a yard bike for the near future and you are not worrying about performance.
