thanks dan. I pulled a spring, o-ring and washer from a 1980 -84 Yamaha xs 650 carb and went right in. no drips.
this is not my first rodeo with carbs. I always blow them out with hi pressure air. maybe not 150, but im sure that other dimension dosnt exist either, and if it does, its full of socks that don't match.
Ill order a new boot.
