Cannondale Bicycles pioneered a motorcycle with this configuration back in the late 70's early 80's. Had a few problems and sales weren't great, and it ultimately lead to their financial ruin and take over by another company.
The Harley Dealer in Santa Maria, CA has an early model of the Cannondale Motorcycle in their historic collection.
