AD, I have not tried to charge my iPhone using that USB port. It seems to me the limiting factor is that green resistor only puts out 1A. We would have to replace that unit with one having the same pinout but more than 1A of output on the USB side. Messing with electrons is above my pay grade. We are bound to have someone on the board with an idea of how to fix this problem...but it ain't me.
