None of my China bikes have a counter-balanced engine, and I'm fine with it. I use aluminum handlebars and padded gloves that are designed for use with impact wrenches. It's a little buzzy in the upper rpm range, but I'm fine with it. The counter-balanced version uses a chain to operate the oil pump and I don't want the added complexity. I love that my CG engine has all the technology of an anvil.
