in one of the review youtubes, a guy compares it to the rx3 english version (honley or something) decides there's no issue the re is much better. also, there is a factory documentary on the development of the himalayan, the engine's innards look Massive!
I am liking this thing more and more . one vid shows a guy trying tomuscle one around in the dirt/rock at very high altitude lol he can hardly stand up himself, but he picks one up.

you are right, tho, black 400 is a lot off road, but not for an adv bike. even the small beemers are much more and this bike is built STRONG.
