Off came the heat shield. I'll put some washers behind it to shim it. In the meantime, since that's eliminated, I need to chase another noise. Sounds almost like a speedo cable whir but there isn't one. Hmmmmm........
I know the chain make noise but this is up front...

The front dust seals on the hub were making that weird noise on mine. Like a whirrrrr noise.
